Q How do I register?
A Go to http://uoduckstore.com/adoptions. Click on the "Register Here" text link and create profile for Adopting Course Materials.
Q Why won't the Online Course Materials Adoption system work in Safari?
A The new Online Course Materials Adoption system is NOT compatible with Safari. It is recommended you download and install Mozilla Firefox via their website if you do not already have this browser installed on your computer. You can download Mozilla Firefox free of charge by visiting their website. CLICK HERE to download Mozilla Firefox now.

Q How do I get my department username and password?
A Contact the Literary Duck department or your department faculty support staff. To call the Literary Duck, please call (541) 346-4331 Ext. 501.
Q What are the course material adoption deadlines?
A The course material adoption deadline for each term is the second Friday of the current term.
Q What if I need to add more books to an existing adoption?
A Go to http://uoduckstore.com/addadoptions.
Q Whom do I contact for course packets?
A To order course packets, call Kati Kronholm at the Copyright Clearance office (541) 345-5370 or email katik@uoregon.edu.

Buyback begins Wednesday of dead week through the Saturday after finals; every term. Summer term is the only exception.

In order to purchase books back from the students, it is important for The Duck Store to receive course materials requests by the specified deadlines.

Your on-time requests help students save money by ensuring more used books will be available.

Late requests hinder the Literary Duck's opportunity to request used books. This includes the opportunity to buy books back from the students during our Buyback period.

Students receive up to 50% of the new book price if a book is readopted for the upcoming term.

Q How do I print my book list?
A Go to http://uoduckstore.com/coursematerials and follow the instructions located at the top of the page.

If you have the five-digit CRNs for your courses, use the "Enter Course ID field.

If you do not know your CRNs, select your term & departments and click the "Continue to Get Course Materials" button. You will need to select your courses from the department list in Step 2. Click the "Continue to Get Course Materials" button.

Click the "Print Book List" to print your book list.
Q How do I reserve my course materials?
A Go to http://uoduckstore.com/coursematerials and follow the instructions located at the top of the page.

If you have the five-digit CRNs for your courses, use the "Enter Course ID field.

If you do not know your CRNs, select your term & departments and click the "Continue to Get Course Materials" button. You will need to select your courses from the department list in Step 2. Click the "Continue to Get Course Materials" button. 

Click the "Add to Cart" button to the right of each course book to add the item to your Shopping Cart.

To complete your course materials reservation, click the "Shopping Cart" link in the upper or lower right hand corner and proceed to check out.
Q What is the deadline for placing course materials reservations online?
A You can reserve your course materials online all year long, however we can only guarantee your reservation will be ready for pick up on the first day of the term if you place your reservation by the term deadline.

The term deadline will be posted at the top of the Course Materials page.
Q Can I place a reservation for course materials even if the book list is not available to view online?
A Yes. If you search for a class and the book list has not yet been turned in, your search will display the following message:

Textbook requirements have not yet been determined for this course. You will have the option to select whether or not to add materials if they become available.

To reserve books for a class without a book list, simply click the "Add to Cart" button. When you are ready to check out, click the "Shopping Cart" button on the top right.

Confirm your course and click the "Continue Checkout" button.

On the "Order Preferences" page, select your "Order Action Update" from the drop down menu. You must click the checkbox below acknowledging that you are reserving books that have not yet been requested by faculty and this will increase your reservation total.

Confirm your selections and click the "Continue Checkout" button to complete your checkout.
Q When do I register online so I can reserve my course materials?
A You will be asked to register online during Check Out, after you've submitted all course material items to your Shopping Cart.
Q When will my credit card be charged for my course materials reservation?
A Your credit card will not be charged immediately. Reservations are processed about three weeks prior to classes beginning. Your credit card will be charged when the order is complete.
